The company’s business is primarily the involvement in or the acquisition of investments. In June 2014, the company repositioned itself as a gaming-focused investment company through the acquisition of PremiumLeisure and Amusement, Inc. (PLAI), and a 50.1% stake in Pacific Online Systems Corporation (POSC) from Premium Leisure Corp.’s (PLC) parent company, Belle Corporation.

As a result, PLC is well positioned to benefit from the anticipated growth of the gaming industry in the Philippines.

 

PremiumLeisure and Amusement, Inc. (PLAI)
PremiumLeisure and Amusement, Inc. (PLAI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of PLC. PLAI is a co-licensee in City of Dreams Manila, the integrated resort and casino project within the PAGCOR Entertainment City, and has a share in the revenues of this project. City of Dreams Manila is built in partnership with MCE Leisure, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Melco Resorts and Entertainment (Philippines) Corporation. City of Dreams Manila has officially opened on February 02, 2015.

 

Pacific Online Systems Corporation

In June 2014, PLC acquired a 50.1% stake in Pacific Online Systems Corporation (Pacific Online) from Belle Corporation. It is engaged in the development, design, and management of lottery software and terminals for its principal client, state-run Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

Pacific Online was incorporated in November 1993. In 1995, the Company entered into an Equipment Lease Agreement (ELA) with the PCSO for the latter’s lotto operations in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. It has since expanded its terminal base nationwide. Previously, Pacific Online held an ELA for the keno game with PCSO, as well as a nationwide retail distribution network through its subsidiaries.

In 2021, Pacific Online won the bid for the PCSO's Customize Lottery System  together with its joint venture partners Philippine Gaming Management Corporation (PGMC) and International Lottery & Totalizator Systems, Inc. (ILTS). Guaranteed of a five-year lease, commercial operations is expected to begin within the fourth quarter of 2023.

The Company maintains partnerships with globally recognized providers of lotto systems — Scientific Games International (SGI) and Intralot — in providing the PCSO both technical and market expertise for the distribution of lottery products in the country.
